This week we are on an independent tour of Paris where you will have 1 day of organized sightseeing and 4 days of on your own time to enjoy Paris the way “you” want to.  So sit back, relax and enjoy an in-depth visit to Paris.

When we arrive in Paris, we are taken directly to our hotel to meet our local host who will give us maps, information about the attractions we want to see, and answer any questions we may have.  Don’t worry, the host is always around to give us a hand if we need it.

Our first full day in Paris includes a morning guided sightseeing tour to Notre Dame Cathedral, where Napoleon was crowned emperor in 1804.  We see the Latin Quarter, Les Invalides, the Opera, and the Arc de Triomphe.  We take a drive by the Seine River and along the Champs-Elysees.  Take photos of the Eiffel Tower and top the day off with a visit to The Louvre-by the way, we get VIP access and skip the long lines.

The rest of the week is at leisure to immerse ourselves in this fascinating city.  Our local host has many recommendations for us.  You may want to visit the Normandy battlefields and the D-Day beaches; the Loire Valley; Monet’s Giverny and Louis XIV’s Palace of Versailles.  Or you may want to people watch at a sidewalk cafe, shop along the Champs-Elysees.  Perhaps catch a cabaret show.  Whatever you choose, you have ample time to “do everything on your list.”
