christmas-market_2723591b

As Christmas is upon us, I wanted to give you a great idea for a Christmas present for that hard to buy for loved one.

Imagine spending the holidays in Europe visiting some of Germany’s famous Christmas markets.  And, since this is a 2017 trip, you can gift it this Christmas and travel next year to shop, eat delicious German food, visit the famous biergartens, and see some of the most beautiful cities in Germany.  From Frankfurt to Nuremberg, you will sail on the Main River-Germany’s heart and soul-into the land of Franconian wine and Bavarian beer.  You will follow the famed “Romantic Road” to charming Old Towns that evoke a fairy-tale Europe.

You will gain an intimate view of Germany on this amazing Heart of Germany river cruise.  The Christmas Markets will fill your suitcases with charming gifts to bring back home.  Call me for more details at 919.708.8217 or email at cruiselikeavip@windstream.net.

A trip to a German Christmas market is not complete without sampling Gluhwein, roasted chestnuts, sausages and Lebkuchen.  I am looking forward to visiting the Christmas Markets with my friends.

Be sure to check out my facebook page this week to learn when the German Christmas markets began, things to do outside of the Christmas markets and best places to eat and shop.  Go to facebook.com/cruiselikeavip.

Alaska – A Grand American Vacation

welcome-to-alaska1

This week we are visiting Alaska, our 49th and largest state in the United States.  Known for it’s dramatic, diverse terrain of wide-open spaces, mountains and forests, with abundant wildlife and many small towns, it’s truly a destination for everyone.  One of the most popular ways to see Alaska is by cruise ship.  If you pair the cruise with a land tour, you will get a great vacation experience and see more of the interior of Alaska-a truly grand vacation experience.

For more information, call 919.708.8217 or e-mail at cruiselikeavip@windstream.net.

Thank you for your interest in my trips.  I value each of you as my guest.

It’s Better In The Bahamas

lighthouse-pointe-copy-copy

I know why it’s better in the Bahamas.  A visit to Lighthouse Pointe All Inclusive Resort at Grand Lucayan Resort Complex and you will know also.  I was on a site inspection of the resort last week to see if it was everything I had heard it was–and it was!  From the moment I walked into the beautiful lobby overlooking the aquamarine Caribbean sea, I knew this was the place I would like to visit and bring my friends and family.

A little about Grand Bahama Island.  It is the fourth largest island of the Bahamas and one of the most popular after Nassau, of course. The island is 539 square miles and features long stretches of secluded beachfront, wildlife habitats, tropical gardens and charming neighborhoods with plenty to keep you occupied during your 4 night stay.

From enjoying the multiple pools on the complex to complimentary golf, deep sea fishing, and some of the best diving in the Caribbean along with dolphin swims, parasailing, hiking the islands three national parks to shopping and sipping that umbrella drink.  And don’t forget, you have a casino-Treasure Bay right outside the front door.  How convenient.  So let’s see-there’s something for the golfers, divers, gamblers, shoppers, swimmers and folks who like to eat excellent food.  Yes, Lighthouse Pointe has it all.

You will be dining in some of the best restaurants in the Bahamian islands right at this resort.  So what’s not to love about this resort.  I am confident you will love the resort so much, you won’t have any desire to venture off the property except to visit Count Basie Square at the Port Lucaya Marina for some nightly entertainment and dancing.

Yes, it is better in the Bahamas with a visit to Lighthouse Pointe, where you will enjoy the true Bahamian culture far from the crowds of Nassau. I’ll see you there in October, 2017.

Call me for more details about this trip at 919.78.8217.  And oh yes, most of these are actual pictures I took of the resort.
